Last Friday night the KBMR team was at I-80 Speedway’s weekly late model program.  Kyle would once again start in the back of the heat race and would finish a solid 3rd in the heat race.  He started 10th in the A feature and after being shuffled around in heavy traffic on the first lap, Kyle would fall back to about 15th.  Then making his way back up through the field he would finish a strong 2nd place.

On Saturday night the team traveled to McCool Junction to join the SLMR series.  Kyle would start front row outside and would go on to a dominating heat win over Justin Zeitner and Mike Collins.  Then after drawing a 10 out of 10 for the feature starting position, Kyle would only be able to work his way up to a 8th place finish.  The track had rubbered down which means little to no passing, Mike Collins would start front row and go on to win the feature.  Kyle is very pleased with the new car, but with only a heat race win to show for it, he believes there will be many feature wins to come.  He is very excited about the new car and getting more experience with it.

This weekend the team will once again travel to I-80 Speedway for there weekly program and then have the rest of the weekend off.  Memorial day weekend will be Kyle’s first time competing with the NCRA and MLRA series.  On Saturday night the team will be at McCool Junction with the NCRA series and then Sunday evening at I-80 Speedway taking on the MLRA series.  Hope to see everyone there and cheering on the KBMR team for there first feature win of the 2012 season.

The KBMR team FINALLY got the new custom designed Swartz car done and to the races for I-80 Speedways opening night of weekly racing. After starting last in his heat race he was able to advance to 5th in his heat race. The track was very tacky and fast and didn’t allow for much passing in the heat races. This 5th place finish started Kyle 12th in the A feature.  After just 4 laps into the feature Kyle got a flat tire. The crew did a good job of getting the tire changed quickly so Kyle could get back on the track and start at the end of the field, 24th. The rest of the race would go caution free and Kyle would  drive his custom designed Swartz chassis to an impressive 3rd place finish.

This weekend Kyle will be driving his Swartz chassis at I-80 again on Friday night and then join the SLMR series on Saturday night at McCool Junction. Hope to see you all there.
