Junction Motor Speedway, McCool, NE (August 3, 2007)

This would prove to be an eventful night for the KBMR team, with a blown motor early in the heat race.  The team had to resort to the back up car (14JR) for the B feature which is a 2000 Rocket with a grand national late model engine in it (500 horsepower compared to the normal 800 horsepower).  At a considerable disadvantage under the hood and lining up at the rear of the race, it did not look like they would be able to qualify but would need to use a provisional to get into the A feature race.  However, Kyle raced forward and finished 3rd in the “B” transferring him into the rear of the “A”.  Unfortunately he would have to start 20th.  Kyle again moved forward well and advanced to finish 8th in the “A”.  All things considered, it was a great race.

After spending most of the night changing the motor in the Mastersbilt car, the team was ready to tackle another night of racing.  In the heat race, Kyle would start from the back due to luck (or should I say “unluck”) of the draw.  He finished 4th in a very tough heat since the 3 point leaders were all in the same heat race.  The “A” feature would not go well, struggling with the car handling on a slick track surface he would finish a disappointing 11th.
