KYLE SECURES THE TORA CHAMPIONSHIP!
October 5th and 6th was the final TORA series racing action of 2007 at Thunderhill Speedway in Mayetta, KS. We were looking forward to another weekend on the new Mastersbilt chassis following a very competitive weekend at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City. Unfortunately we experienced motor trouble early on the first night in the new car and were forced to run the backup car for the entire weekend bringing home an 8th place finish on the first night and dropping out due to mechanical issues on the 2nd night. Despite the disappointing finishes for the team, we were proud to be able to win the 2007 TORA series championship.
JUNCTION MOTOR SPEEDWAY, McCool Juntion, NE
Kyle ran the 33z modified in the Cool McCool 100 this past weekend at JMS. Kyle won his heat race and finished 5th in the positions race for the 30 lap A feature on Sunday afternoon. He was running 6th early in the race and found the high side allowing him to move forward to 3rd around the half way mark. Unfortunately with 9 laps to go he was sidelined with engine trouble.
LARRY DANHAUER IS INDUCTED
Everyone at KBMR would like to congratulate Larry Danhauer on his recent induction into the Nebraska Racing Hall of Fame. As many of you know, Larry has been instrumental in our team since the beginning and for that we are very thankful. Kyle had the opportunity of racing Danhauer Racing Engines in route to his first track championship at Mid Continent Race Track (now Mid Nebraska Speedway) in 1986 and beyond. Congratulations Larry on a well deserved honor!
