Late Model - July 2, 2010, - I-80 Speedway, Greenwood, NE
Friday night the team loaded the Ford powered Dorothy Lynch Salad Dressing sponsored Lazer Chassis and headed to I-80 Speedway to compete in the Midwest-Trifecta Challenge. Kyle started in the third heat, fourth row inside. He finish second in the heat giving him enough passing points to start the 30 lap A feature in the second row outside. Kyle would find the cushion and charged to the front to lead lap 3 in a thrilling side by side battle with Chad Simpson. With 10 laps in the books it was Kyle by 10 car lengths over the rest of the field. Kyle carefully worked through lap traffic as the racing was fast and furious throughout the pack. Kyle appeared to have the field solidly covered but a series of late race cautions allowed the field to bunch up behind him. Kyle would get passed by Terry Philips with 6 laps left and finish a tough 2nd place!!!
Late Model - July 3, 2010 - Admass County Speedway, Corning, IA
Saturday night the team was at a familiar track at Corning, IA. This has been a tough track the last few years for Kyle to get a hold of and usually allows for little to no passing. Kyle will get a bad draw for the heat races and start fourth row inside. He would be able to move forward a little and come to a fourth place finish. But unfortunately it would not be enough for the A feature and he would have to start on the pole of the B feature. He won the B feature and was looking confident going into the 30 lap A feature starting eight row outside. The track was tough and not alot of passing. He would finish a disappointing 23rd.
Coming Soon -
This weekend the team will be competing for 2 nights in the SLMR series. On Saturday night the team will travel to Harlan, IA to race and then on Sunday night at I-80 Speedway.
