Transmission issues hinder Berck's season opener at Central Missouri Speedway

Marquette, Nebraska’s Kyle Berck kicked off his 2024 season on Saturday with the Malvern Bank West Series at Central Missouri Speedway (Warrensburg, Mo.) aboard his Speedee Mart No. 14 Late Model for the Cliff Harris Memorial.

After experiencing toter issues on the way to the track, Berck battled transmission woes early in the night that prevented him from making it out for his qualifying session and his heat race. Hopping behind the wheel of Jay Burdic’s No. J1 Late Model for the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Kyle ended the night on a high note as he charged forward seven positions in the 40-lapper to finish 17th.
