Kyle Berck adds sixth-place finish with Malvern Bank Series at US 30 Speedway

Kyle Berck kicked off his month of August with a trip to U.S. 30 Speedway (Columbus, Neb.) on Thursday evening to pilot his Speedee Mart No. 14 Late Model for the Malvern Bank West Series sanctioned contest.

Following the fifth-fastest qualifying effort in the 26-car field, Kyle stormed into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with a fifth-to-first heat showing. Coming one spot shy of a top-five finish in the feature, Berck steered to sixth-place outing.

On Saturday, Berck set aside the driving duties and took on the crew chief role for his nephew Christian at Junction Motor Speedway (McCool Junction, Neb.). Despite his runner-up heat showing pinning him on the 10th row, Christian charged through the field eight spots to pick up the impressive 15-lap victory.
