Berck finishes fifth at Thayer County Speedway

Friday night found Kyle Berck in action with the Malvern Bank West Series at Thayer County Speedway (Deshler, Neb.) for the track's Fat Tire Friday event.

Locked on the fourth row for the weekend opener via a third-place heat showing, Berck climbed three positions in the 25-lap affair to register a fifth-place finish. He chased Tad Pospisil, Charlie McKenna, Bill Leighton Jr., and Justin Zeitner to the checkers.

For the Bob Haase Memorial on Saturday at Off Road Speedway (Norfolk, Neb.), Kyle's fourth-place heat finish pinned him 13th on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win finale. He limped to a 16th-place finish in the 30-lap affair after tagging a infield tractor tire on the third circuit.
